ABOUT THE ARTIST
I’m Laura,
A Hawaii-based artist and Live Wedding Painter.
Over the past 19 years, I've painted hundreds of weddings in every imaginable climate, circumstance, and environment blending my impressionist approach with the emotions and movement of each couple's special day.
As a pioneer in the live wedding painting industry, I’ve seen the shift from inquisitive guests wondering what exactly I’m doing, to more recent comments like, “I’ve seen this on TikTok!”
But, one thing remains constant, these paintings transcend other wedding trends; my unique painting style, and heirloom-quality work create a timeless memento, lasting long after the “likes” on social media fade, or withering in an album on a shelf.
Why Live Wedding Painting?
Weddings are filled with fleeting, magical moments—ones that pass in an instant but hold a lifetime of meaning.
As an artist, I don’t just replicate a scene; I capture its heart.
It’s an honor to translate these moments full of meaning to the canvas to live on forever; as an artist, there’s nothing more thrilling and magical than the language of paint itself. I love sharing this joy and wonder with others through the live painting experience.
"There are no words to describe how happy we are with the painting and the whole experience!
Our guests loved watching her paint the ceremony and after looking at the end result, they were amazed. Thank you again for being part of our forever!”

MY APPROACH
Artistry with Intuition
Every couple has a unique love story, and every wedding carries its own rhythm. My approach is deeply intuitive—I observe, I listen, and I let your connection guide my composition.
While many clients come to me with a vision, my best work happens when I’m trusted to interpret your day through my artistic lens.
I focus on movement, light, and emotion, layering in the depth of the moment rather than just the details.
My impressionist style allows me to create a painting that doesn’t just depict your wedding—it feels like it.
"The piece that Laura created was absolutely priceless and beautiful.
This was a surprise gift for my husband on the day of our wedding. He was speechless and so were a lot of our guests at the event. The painting included our first dance and both of our daughters in there. How amazing to have this piece of art hanging on our wall for years and years to come. It truly is priceless, we both fell in love with it.”

The Artist Behind the Easel
My journey as an artist has always been rooted in capturing life as it unfolds and my work has been heavily influenced by the impressionist painters Vuillard, Monet, and Bonnard.
The impressionists were the first to abandon long held conventions of depiction and boldly embrace how things actually looked. They conveyed their subjects purely by painting the effect of the light on them.
Impressionism isn’t about hurried brushstrokes or randomness—it’s a deliberate way of seeing.
It’s about painting what something looks like rather than what we know it is. It’s different from illustration or hyper-realism because it focuses on the experience of seeing—the way light shifts, the sensation of color, the way atmosphere can create a feeling.
At its core, Impressionism is about responding to light and visual experience in a way that feels honest and immersive—and that’s exactly how I approach live wedding painting.
Though I have a traditional art school education, I found my true voice in painting the real, unscripted moments of human connection.
My work is not about rigid perfection but about evoking feeling—whether it’s the way the sunset warmed your first dance or the laughter that filled the air during your ceremony.
"We love our painting so much!
Laura captured our day in such a magical way we can’t recommend her enough. She was amazing to work with and she provided us an original piece that takes us back to our special day every time we look at it.”

“She captured our loved ones and made sure that the painting was everything we wanted it to be and more.
She was able to artistically express a special moment for us and created a work of art that will forever remind us of our wedding day. It wouldn't have been the same or as special without Laura.”
